Principal Responsibilities

  • Safety: Prioritize safety at all times during flight training. Instructors should promote the safety culture and ensure that students understand the importance of safety procedures and practices.
  • Compliance: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant regulations to Ensure that flight training activities are conducted in strict compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and the ATO's manuals.
  • Lesson Planning: Develop lesson plans and training materials that align with the approved training curriculum. Ensure that instructional materials are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Flight Planning: Assist students in planning flights, including route selection, weather analysis, and performance calculations. Ensure that flight plans comply with all regulations and safety considerations.
  • In-Flight Instruction: Conduct pre-flight briefings and in-flight training sessions with students. Provide clear and concise instructions on aircraft operation, navigation, emergency procedures, and all aspects of flight.
  • Emergency Procedures: Train students in emergency procedures and crisis management, including simulated emergency scenarios during flight training.
  • Flight Simulator Training: Conduct flight simulator training sessions, if applicable, to supplement flight training and allow students to practice specific procedures and scenarios in a controlled environment.
  • Assessment and Evaluation: Continuously assess and evaluate students' progress and performance. Provide constructive feedback and recommendations for improvement.
  • Flight Test Preparation: Prepare students for examinations and flight skill test required for certification. Ensure that students are adequately prepared to meet the standards set by relevant Authorities.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of flight training activities, including student performance assessments, flight hours, and training outcomes. Ensure that all required documentation is complete and up-to-date.
  • Mentoring: Provide mentorship and guidance to student pilots to help them progress in their training and develop into safe and proficient aviators.
  • Communication: Maintain effective communication with students, the ATO's management, other instructors, and regulatory authorities as necessary.
  • Customer Service: Foster a positive and professional relationship with students and ensure their needs and concerns are addressed promptly.
  • Professionalism: Maintain a high level of professionalism, integrity, and ethical conduct with students, colleagues, clients, and aviation authorities.
  • Other Duties: Carrying out any other supplementary duties as required by the CFI or deputy CFI

Minimum Qualifications & Experience

Minimum Requirements

  • Valid ICAO CPL (A) or ATPL (A). (EASA License Preferable)
  • Flight Instructor (FI) Rating with the PPL, Night, CPL Instructional privileges.
  • Total Flight Time: 500 hours
  • Instruction Flight Time: 200 hours
  • ICAO English Language Proficiency (ELP) level 4 or higher
  • Class (1) Medical

Preferable FI Privileges

  • Instrument Rating (IR)
  • Class Rating Instructor Multi-Engine (CRI-ME)
  • Flight Instructor (FI) Instruction
  • UPRT.
